About Jon My name is Jon Viebrock and I am running for the office of State Representative for the 5th Legislative District.
Years ago, I would have been called a “Teddy Roosevelt Republican” because of my conservationist beliefs and progressive values. In these times, that makes me a Democrat.
I am not willing to “say anything” to get elected nor will I sell my soul to lobbyists or outside special interest groups in an effort to raise money. I will speak to the issues that I personally believe in, and I hope that you will see in me, someone who really is dedicated to improving the lives of the people here in the 5th District.
Just like you, I work hard, and I play hard. I am fortunate enough to own a home here, and I’m here to stay.
Living in Washington is a blessing that people in other parts of the world are awed by. We owe it to ourselves to see that our quality of life is maintained and improved. To do this, we have to work against those who would deprive average land owners of their rights, ship our jobs overseas, slash the wages of working families, deny education funding for our kids, allow unrestrained development, deprive sportsmen of their rights, or funnel every transportation dollar straight into a tunnel in Seattle.
Thank you for your time.

Jon lives in Carnation, Washington. A lifelong fisherman and outdoorsman, Jon served in the United States Marine Corps, and upon completion of that service, entered the construction trades. With twenty years of experience in the building trades, and a “nose to the grindstone” work ethic, Jon gets jobs done on time and on budget. |
